F.A.Q.

Rooms are supplied with glasses, towels, shampoo, soap, hairdryer, access to ironing board and iron. Since bathing water is softened for your comfort, drinking water is provided.

There is access to a small fridge with designated shelves for your personal drinks and snacks.

All guest rooms and their private bathrooms are accessed by a full flight of stairs, either up or down, and there is no shared bathroom on the main floor.  There are two steps up to the main entrance.  Breakfast is served on the main floor.

We want to make sure all our guests have a safe and enjoyable stay, so please be aware that the 2-minute walk from the house to the dock involves a hill and may not be suitable for guests who have difficulty with mobility.  The dock is accessed by foot since all parking is located near the house. The shore aspect of the property is available to registered guests before 1 pm and after 3 pm.  During the hours of 1-3 pm, the dock is reserved for private use.

Please note that fishing is not allowed from the property, but there are plenty of nearby locations for fishing.  Also, please note that there is no provision to prepare and cook fish on the property.

While it is not possible to tie a boat to the dock, we invite you to inquire about parking a small trailered boat here, which can be launched in town.  Kayaks can be launched if you don’t mind portaging the hill.  You may wish to inquire about the many easy local put-ins.

A wide selection of restaurants ranging from cafes to casual and upscale dining  satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary considerations.  Most are in the towns of Midland and Penetanguishene, within a 9-minute drive from the B&B.

See the LOCAL AREA page on this website for the locations of historic sites, water enjoyment, attractions, active pursuits, nature experiences, the arts, festivals and events, and shopping.
